REFUNDS & TERMS OF USE

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Energy and Equipment Finance (Pty) Ltd (“EEF” herein). EEF is affiliated with various other companies under the umbrella of the TransAfrica Group.
- INTRODUCTION
- If a client/user is not satisfied with his/her purchase, the client can return the product(s) and EEF, the manufacturers or suppliers will either repair, replace or credit your account subject to the terms set out herein.
- The following products can be returned:
- Unwanted products;
- Products damaged on delivery thereof; and
- Defective products.
- The client/user acknowledges that all returns of orders from third-party sellers will be sent back to the seller.
- The client/user acknowledges that third-party sellers may have different Returns Policies and the client/user is responsible for to familiarize themselves with the particular seller’s policies and procedures.
- UNWANTED PRODUCTS
- A client/user can return unwanted product(s) to the seller in the event that –
- The product(s) is still in its original packaging.
- The packaging is not damaged.
- All original stickers and labels are still intact.
- The product(s) is undamaged and unused.
- The product(s) is not missing any accessories or parts.
- EEF was informed of the client/user’s intention to return the product(s) within 30 (thirty) days of delivery.
- A client/user can return unwanted product(s) to the seller in the event that –
- PRODUCTS DAMAGED ON DELIVERY
- The client/user acknowledges that he/she should notify EEF within 7 (seven) days of delivery of the fact that the delivered product(s) is damaged or missing any parts or accessories.
- An arrangement for the collection of the damaged product(s) will be made.
- The seller will perform an inspection and, should the return be validated, the seller will see to the repair, replacement or refund of the said product(s).
- DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS
- The client/user accepts that in terms of this policy, “defective” means a characteristic or imperfection in the manufacture of a product resulting in the product being less acceptable than one would reasonably be entitled to expect.
- The client/user accepts that the following will not be regarded as defects –
- Normal wear and tear.
- Damage arising from negligence, user abuse or the incorrect use of the product(s).
- Damage arising from electrical surges, corrosion and other environmental factors.
- Damage arising from a failure to adequately maintain the product(s).
- Damage arising from unauthorized alterations to the product(s).
- Where the specifications of a product do not suit the client/user despite the fact that it was accurately described on the website.
- Extended supplier or manufacturer warranty
- The client/user accepts that an extended supplier warranty is subject to whatever terms and conditions the supplier or manufacturer imposes. Said terms and conditions can be set out in a brochure, leaflet or on the supplier or manufacturer’s website.
- The client/user acknowledges that the client/user is responsible for familiarizing him/herself with the said terms and conditions.
- The client/user acknowledges that EEF is under no obligation to provide the client/user with credit, repair or replacement. The extended supplier warranty is between the client/user and the supplier or manufacturer and EEF is not a party hereto.
- The client/user acknowledges that should a product under a manufacturer warranty be defective or of unsatisfactory quality, the client/user should contact the supplier or manufacturer directly.
